The Ford Family Foundation has selected 61 students as new recipients of the Ford Sons & Daughters Program for the 2012-2013 academic year (see list below). The scholarship can be awarded to up to 10% of all eligible dependents, so the number of awardees varies from year to year. An interview process is used to select recipients each year. Full-time students attending two-year colleges each receive $3,000 annually, while full-time students attending four-year colleges or universities receive $5,000 annually. Recipients, who must be age 21 or younger, are dependents of Roseburg Forest Products Co. employees. Established in 1995, the Ford Sons & Daughters Program is renewable for up to four years. The award can be used for expenses including tuition, fees, books, personal expenses, and room & board. Kenneth W. Ford created The Ford Family Foundation in 1957 after the company he founded, Roseburg Forest Products Co., had experienced several decades of growth. Other scholarships supported by the Foundation include the Ford Opportunity Scholarship Program, the Ford Scholars Program, and the Ford ReStart Scholarship Program. 2012 Ford Sons & Daughters recipients sorted by home state and alphabetical (.pdf).
