Ford Opportunity Program Description

The Ford Opportunity Program is designed specifically for single parents who are heads of households and who are pursuing a bachelor's degree and do not have the support of a domestic partner. This program is offered in both Oregon and Siskiyou County, California.

In 1996, Hallie E. Ford established the Ford Opportunity Program to assist single parents obtain a bachelor's degree. She realized that students who are parents have many extra responsibilities. She was determined to help them by providing financial assistance and encouragement.
