Collaboration

The Ford Family Foundation often is more than a funder. We may collaborate with other organizations or take a leadership role on an issue that advances our strategies. Here are projects and organizations that the Foundation currently supports:

Rural Communities Explorer  We support the Rural Communities Explorer database, developed by our partners at Oregon State University’s Rural Studies Program. This database includes a community reporter tool which allows any interested party to view census tract, community or county level data covering a wide array of indicators pertinent to community vitality.

Oregon Nonprofit Event Calendar We support the Oregon Nonprofit Event Calendar, developed and maintained by the Nonprofit Association of Oregon. The goal of the calendar is to have one location to promote, network and coordinate nonprofit events across Oregon.

Rural Development Initiatives (RDI), a nationally recognized, Oregon-based nonprofit dedicated to helping rural communities and people achieve the visions and goals they set for themselves. It has  worked with more than 300 rural communities as neutral conveners, facilitators and advisors.

The Nonprofit Association of Oregon, formerly known as TACS, is a statewide network of nonprofits, foundations, business partners, and individuals dedicated to supporting Oregon’s nonprofit sector. It serves as a resource for nonprofit organizations and a central source of information about the nonprofit sector. It connects nonprofits of all sizes, missions and geographic locations. It offers programs and services that enhance the capacity of nonprofits to fulfill their essential missions. While its role as a statewide membership association is a relatively new one, it has more than 30 years’ experience providing consulting and training to nonprofit leaders, staff and volunteers.

American Leadership Forum ALF of Oregon is a private, non-profit organization that offers a program designed to build bridges of understanding throughout the state.

Center for Nonprofit Stewardship Formerly known as Financial Stewardship Resources, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that educates and empowers nonprofit board members in sound financial, administrative and organizational stewardship.
