Prior to joining the Foundation in 2017, Kasi Allen was a tenured professor and the program director for the Master in Arts Teaching program at Lewis & Clark College, Portland. Her background includes working as a senior researcher at Inverness Research, Portland. At Inverness, she led evaluation and research efforts for a range of equity-focused educational improvement initiatives, many based in rural communities.

Kasi is responsible for developing an organization-wide approach to learning that assesses program and community-building work, improves practice, supports innovation, and advances strategy. She earned a Ph.D. in Education from Stanford University and a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Its History, also from Stanford University.

Kasi is an avid cyclist (completed Cycle Oregon twice). She’s a native of San Francisco, but she has lived in Oregon since 1990. Her great-great-grandparents homesteaded near Cottage Grove.
