Children, Youth and Family Grants: OPEN
Many things contribute to success in the early years. We are specifically interested in funding grant requests that:

  • Deliver high-quality early childhood programming and supports
  • Provide services to help children and youth be healthy and well and free from abuse
  • Strengthen a family’s skills and ability to nurture children/youth
  • Support high-quality programs for school-aged youth (typically programs falling outside of the K-12 system's traditional role)

Typical Grant Range: $10,000 - $250,000
Length: Single or multi year

Recently funded activities include but are not limited to:

  • Rural behavioral health or medical initiatives
  • Prenatal care
  • Early childhood programs/workforce development
  • Child abuse prevention and intervention programs
  • Out-of-school activities and facilities

Children, Youth and Family requests need to:

  • Meet the Foundation’s eligibility and readiness requirements
  • Serve populations prenatal to age 18
  • Serve communities in rural Oregon or Siskiyou County, Calif., with less than 35,000 in population not adjacent to or part of an urban or metropolitan area
  • Target programs, projects, operating support, capital projects, capacity building, and/or research

  • Very small grants can be decided within two months.
  • Large grants can take up to six months.
  • If your request makes it beyond the initial review, we are happy to talk to you about decision timing to aid in your planning.
