Overview
Children, Youth and Family Grants: OPEN
Many things contribute to success in the early years. We are specifically interested in funding grant requests that:
- Deliver high-quality early childhood programming and supports
- Provide services to help children and youth be healthy and well and free from abuse
- Strengthen a family’s skills and ability to nurture children/youth
- Support high-quality programs for school-aged youth (typically programs falling outside of the K-12 system's traditional role)
Typical Grant Range: $2,000 - $500,000
Length: Single or multi year
EXAMPLES
Recently funded activities include but are not limited to:
- Rural behavioral health or medical initiatives
- Prenatal care
- Early childhood programs/workforce development
- Child abuse prevention and intervention programs
- Out-of-school activities and facilities
Children, Youth and Family requests need to:
- Meet the Foundation’s eligibility and readiness requirements
- Serve populations prenatal to age 18
- Serve communities in rural Oregon or Siskiyou County, Calif., with less than 35,000 in population not adjacent to or part of an urban or metropolitan area
- Target programs, projects, operating support, capital projects, capacity building, and/or research
