“I approach my job like I approach most things in life: I’m here to give comfort to those who are venturing into unknown territory.”
Visitors to The Ford Family Foundation’s office in Roseburg likely will be greeted by Diane Smith, who coordinates conference center engagements and supports the executive team. She is the first point of contact for the Foundation, fielding general questions and connecting callers and visitors to information and resources with care.
Diane always has held a customer service ethic, whether it was for an employer, feeding the community’s hungry, or opening her home as a place of refuge and comfort. “The opportunity to work for a foundation that is truly changing this world to be a better place is important to me,” she says.
Diane has deep Minnesota roots and spent 25 years in Veneta before moving to Roseburg in 2016. She earned her associate degree from Lane Community College.
