Marti McCausland
Manager - Scholar and Alumni Engagement
“My role is less about giving advice to alumni and more about drawing out their natural skills and interests.”
Marti McCausland manages programs that build community among the Foundation’s more than 5,000 scholarship alumni. Her work to strengthen the alumni community emphasizes support for professional development, community service activities and connections to the Foundation’s focus areas. As a member of the Scholarship Office’s student support team, she provides career guidance for nearly 1,000 current scholarship recipients. Marti is particularly interested in supporting Scholars as they near graduation and prepare to join the alumni network.
“Life after college can be mysterious,” Marti says. Whether pursuing graduate school or transitioning into a career, Marti works with the Scholar community, helping them to find the path that works best for their goals.
Marti joined the Foundation in 2022 from a role in career planning and development at Willamette University College of Law, where she worked with students and graduates to develop individualized career development plans. She holds a law degree from Fordham University School of Law in New York and a bachelor’s degree in math from Smith College, in Northampton, Massachusetts.
