Tasha VanRandwyk
Administrative Associate
“I’m here to get you going in the right direction. These are big transitions — into college, out of college. I’ve been there, and I am happy to help.”
Tasha VanRandwyk helps visitors and callers navigate the Foundation’s scholarship office in Eugene, connecting current Scholars, prospective applicants and academic partners to the proper resources. She works closely with her colleagues to assist with the scholarship outreach and selection process by sharing information and helping guide students through the beginning of their college journeys. In addition, Tasha provides administrative support to the Eugene office. She coordinates schedules and travel, assists with events and makes sure all runs smoothly.
“It’s inspiring to a part of an organization that works so hard to remove barriers for students and rural communities,” she says. Tasha enjoys connecting with Scholars and assisting them as they imagine and take steps toward building the next chapter of their lives. Part of this work means she‘s able to celebrate and reflect with them. “I love hearing from our Scholars along the way and being able to celebrate their victories, big and small, alongside them,” Tasha shares.
Prior to joining the Foundation in 2022, Tasha held positions with federal and state governments and local nonprofit organizations, ranging from fieldwork to philanthropy. Born and raised in Florida, she earned a bachelor’s degree in marine biology before moving to Oregon in 2018 and choosing to pursue a career path in the nonprofit sector. If you find yourself on the phone with Tasha or visiting the Eugene scholarship office, Tasha invites you to ask her about turtles!
