Protect Our Children
Be a champion for kids — learn how to protect children from sexual abuse
On This Page
Parents aren’t the only ones responsible for preventing child sexual abuse. Athletic coaches, teachers, clergy, school personnel, healthcare workers and others are required by law to report child sexual abuse.
Organizations that train their staff and volunteers to prevent child sexual abuse create healthy environments that protect kids by:
- Teaching staff and volunteers to recognize the signs of child sexual abuse.
- Helping staff and volunteers learn how to eliminate opportunities for child sexual abuse—one of the most effective ways to prevent it.
- Increasing the likelihood that parents will commit their children to your programs.
More than 17,000 people in Oregon and California have taken the pledge to protect children in their communities. Get trained and be a champion for kids.
