“I grew up in the small town of Happy Camp, and find it incredibly rewarding to work for a foundation that focuses on supporting rural communities.”

Heide Robles manages the Foundation’s grants management system. She builds, tests and deploys grant applications and enhancements, ensures grantee access to applications and provides technical support and training for staff and grantees.

Heide joined the staff in 2019 to help build and administer the system needed to manage the growing number and complexity of grants awarded by The Ford Family Foundation. “What I love most about my job is helping people with technology,” she says.

Heide specializes in database systems, with more than a decade of experience as an independent contractor and prior work for nonprofits such as the Boys & Girls Club of the Umpqua Valley and Migrant Clinicians Network in Chico, California.

After growing up in the small rural town of Happy Camp, California, Heide earned a bachelor’s degree in health and community services from California State University, Chico.
