“What is really critical is helping children be ready for the next step on their journey, particularly their ability to see themselves in the future, and then go back to their reality and plan. This is the hope we try to inspire.”

Todd Bloomquist joined The Ford Family Foundation in 2022 to work with schools and agencies improving outcomes for children and youth ages 4-18. He also contributes to the Foundation’s broader, cross-cutting efforts to strengthen supports for children, youth, and families in rural areas.

“My passion is really about the wellness of the family,” Todd says. He enjoys helping people see their resiliency, embrace the positive skills they possess, and lean on others when needed. “These are the ingredients for resilience that can be learned,” he shares.

Todd previously served in many roles in K-12 public education and most recently as a director for the Grants Pass School District. He has also been an adjunct faculty member for Southern Oregon University. For three decades, he has been active in the success of students and schools in the Rogue Valley and is a certified trainer for the Adverse Childhood Experiences Study (ACES) and the Neurosequential Model in Education (MNE). Todd holds a doctoral degree in educational leadership and brings a wealth of field-based experience and scholarly expertise to the Foundation.
