Scholarship Programs

Much more than money

On This Page

We offer scholarships to students of all ages.

The Ford Family Foundation offers a suite of financial and program resources in Oregon, Siskiyou County, Calif., and, in some cases, other regions. Many recipients enthusiastically declare that the Scholarship Programs are about “so much more than the money.” Our selection committees strive to select recipients whose past and potential are worthy of special support. We work to develop a long-term relationship with such students – not simply to bestow a scholarship.

Four Scholarship Programs

We look for applicants of all ages with unique attributes who may not have had the encouragement, the opportunity or the financial means to attend or to complete their higher education. These candidates demonstrate an understanding of the value of work, taking responsibility, giving back and helping others.

Exclusions

Ford Family scholarships are designed to support students in full-time, on-campus coursework. Distance learning courses or online courses can be part of the regular class schedule as long as these courses do not exceed more than half of the course load. Students taking distance learning courses exclusively or living outside of their home state will not be eligible for Ford Family scholarship funds. Additionally, students with existing bachelor’s degrees are not eligible. Please review each program carefully for more detailed information about the selection process and criteria.

How to Apply

The Ford Family Foundation partners with Oregon's Office of Student Access and Completion (OSAC) to administer the scholarship application. Apply for a Ford Family Scholarship at www.OregonStudentAid.gov. The online application is available beginning in the fall of each year. Consult the OSAC website for application materials and additional information about financial aid and scholarships.
