Accounting Associate

The Accounting Associate supports the daily operations of the Finance and Accounting department by performing a variety of operational and accounting tasks. The Accounting Associate plays an important role in supporting the Foundation’s finance and accounting department by ensuring financial practices are timely, accurate, and compliant. This position is responsible for processing accounts payable transactions, preparing payroll, handling matching gifts, and performing routine accounting tasks related to cash transactions and benefit reconciliations.

This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle sensitive financial information with professionalism and discretion. The role involves regular collaboration with Foundation staff and external partners, careful prioritization of workload, and strict adherence to weekly and monthly deadlines. The Accounting Associate also participates in program-related meetings and contributes to Foundation-wide projects as needed.

This position is hybrid with a minimum of three days a week in office. Residency within 40 miles of Roseburg, Oregon is required.
