Background: Schwegler, who received a Master of Fine Arts in Metalsmithing from the University of Oregon, works with a variety of materials, including metal, resin, found objects and digital imagery. She has participated in numerous exhibitions at venues such as the Tacoma Art Museum and 2004's SCOPE New York art fair. She was a recipient of a MacDowell Colony Fellowship and participated in the Beijing International Artist Platform in the summer of 2010. Schwegler's work has been recognized in ArtNews, Metalsmith and American Craft magazines.
