OUR GOAL
The Ford Institute for Community Building works to create and support vital rural communities.
WHAT WE DO
We support rural residents and local organizations as they take the lead in building their community’s future. Our work is guided by the Community Building Approach.
FORD INSTITUTE FUNDING OPPORTUNTIES
Community Building Spaces Capital Grants: OPEN.
Encourage civic participation, community collaboration and other ways of bringing residents together for the well-being of the community. Grants support the development of physical places that are open to the public and have multiple uses.
Typical Grant Range: $50,000 to $250,000.
Technical Assistance Grants: OPEN.
Funds for organizational capacity building
Typical Grant Range: $1,000 to $5,000.
Good Neighbor Grants: OPEN.
Funds for unexpected needs/small projects
Typical Grant Range: $1,000 to $10,000.
Community Building Grants: By invitation
Support efforts to increase connections, build capacity and take community-led action.
