“I can see the power in working together to bring about change.”

Crissy Lindsey-Freed works closely with the director and program officers of the Children, Youth and Families team, paving the way for effective meetings, events, travel and engagement. Given the Foundation’s growing focus on families and youth, Crissy thrives on tending to the details that are essential to achieving the big picture goals.

Crissy’s own background is full of youth development experiences, having worked for 12 years at University of Oregon, then moving home to Roseburg for roles at a collaborative youth development organization and a local charter school. Crissy was born and raised in Roseburg and says she is excited to reinvest in her hometown, where she earned degrees from both Roseburg High School and Umpqua Community College.

Her family owns a winery in Winston, where she describes herself as the “number one unpaid helper” to her general manager husband. When they aren’t farming, Crissy’s family enjoys whitewater rafting and fishing—anything to do with boats.
