Building capacity through alignments

We provide tools and resources to promote regional connections.
Technical Assistance Grants are provided to help organizations or communities develop leadership expertise, engage in planning efforts, or advance collaborations. This concept is the core of "capacity building." These grants are available by online request and can help fund the hiring of an outside consultant with specialized expertise. Ideally, the consultant will function as a facilitator, mentor and/or teacher so that leadership, planning and collaboration skills are left behind with community members once the consultant engagement is complete. These grants cannot be used to pay staff or board salary to conduct the work of a consultant.
Conferences and networking events
We host and provide resources for events that cover an array of topics important to community capacity building. These events are held in various venues across Oregon and Siskiyou County, including The Ford Family Foundation Conference Room in Roseburg.

Topics include: board development and officer training, governance, fund raising, volunteer management, and writing financial policies. Current partners in include the Nonprofit Association of Oregon, the Center for Nonprofit Stewardship, and Rural Development Initiatives.
