Earthquakes are not the only disaster to fear

While the anticipated Cascadia earthquake gives us a specific reason to prepare, history reminds us that plans put in place now could well be activated for other unexpected events. Within the last few years, Oregon and Northern California have been hit by massive wildfires, flooding, mudslides, train derailments and chemical spills.
