Children, Youth & Families
Roseburg

“I’ve always chosen pathways where I can assist others. Being involved in supporting the work of family and education programs is especially fulfilling for me.”

Robin Pope spends her days in the Roseburg office supporting several members of the Children, Youth and Families team. With a focus on behind-the-scenes operations, she can be found coordinating meetings, managing schedules and organizing events.

Originally from the Kansas City area, Robin relocated to Roseburg in 2011 and has grown to appreciate the slower pace and stronger connections of rural living. Robin joined the Foundation in January of 2024, where she finds the impact being made across rural Oregon and Siskiyou County to be profound. “Everyday events have the power to shape our whole community,” she says. “We have the opportunity and tools to support the positive things happening in our communities which help our children and families grow. I’m lucky to be part of that.”

Robin’s joy in serving families stems from the time she’s spent in education. After graduating college in Missouri, Robin worked in before- and after-school care, graphic design, and as a stay-at-home mom. Eventually returning to the education field, her most recent position at Roseburg Virtual School saw her involved in diverse responsibilities, from teaching robotics to aiding in communications and technology to supporting families in navigating hybrid learning environments.

Robin loves exploring Oregon. She, her husband and their family of three children enjoy taking trips to experience different areas around the state. “I just haven’t seen enough of Oregon,” she says. “All of the different communities have something special to offer.”
